He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Avery and Mary Avery. He is survived by: his wife Colleen; his daughters, Lisa (Colin) and Megan (Jason); his grandchildren, Adeline, Jacob, Alan, Joey and Jack; and his siblings, Carolyn (Jim), MaryLou (late Dave), Janet (late Gary), John (Gaye Ann) and Larry (Theresa). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, beloved friends, and co-workers.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home (25800 Harper, St Clair Shores, MI 48081). A rosary was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. The lying in state was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church (22412 Overlake St, St Clair Shores, MI 48080). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
