She is survived by: her parents, Thomas Toepfer and Riitta Toepfer (Heiskanen); her husband Jerome Edward Cascione; her children, Michael, Saara and Jonas; and her brothers, Eljas Toepfer (Satu) and Johannes Toepfer (Katja).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are being accepted for the Christian education of Mirjam's children.
