It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edward George Baranek in Saint Clair Shores, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on March 3, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Laura M. Baranek (Reno) and Edward T. Baranek; and his brother Tom Baranek. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Fennell; his children, Kim (Amber), Becky Veitengruber (Tim) and Eddie (Nicole); his grandchildren, Lauren, Cameron and Edward; his brother Gary (Marsha); and his nieces, Jamie Law (Jacob), Kelly and Fennell. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
A final resting prayer will be at Resurrection Cemetery Chapel (18201 Clinton River Road, Clinton Township) immediately following the funeral Mass. The family asks that donations may be made in Ed's name to the American Cancer Society at cancer.org and to MusiCares at musicares.org.
