He was predeceased by: his parents, Olaf Halvorsen and Laura Halvorsen; his child Allison Holley; and his siblings, Thor Halvorsen, Eugene Halvorsen (Joy), Per Halvorsen (Carol) and Eileen Bishai (Yousef).

He is survived by: his wife Linda Halvorsen; his daughters, Nicole Halvorsen and Elizabeth "Liza" Pierce; his stepchildren, Jennifer and John DesRivieres; and his grandchildren, Danielle, Jake and Sorelle.
