She was predeceased by : her husband John Paul; her parents, Anthony and Genevieve; and her brothers, Anthony and Paul.

She is survived by : her children, John Jr. Howes (Mary), Edward Howes, Mary Tierney (Mark) and Anthony "Andy" Howes (Sandy); her grandchildren, Anthony "Aj" Howes (Kristy), Jeffrey Howes, James Tierney, Paul Howes, Mark Howes (Rachel), Amy Alexander (John), Joshua Tierney, Emily Cobb (Matthew) and Augustus Tierney (Kira); and her siblings, Geraldine Fitzpatrick (Tim), Mary Kay Rittnour, Genevieve Derks (Michael) and Richard Jurkiewicz (Pat). She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews.

The lying in state was held on Friday, July 5th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Hope Church (28301 Little Mack Ave, St Clair Shores, MI 48081). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, July 5th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
