He was predeceased by: his mother Linda Schmitter; his son Edward Schmitter; his sister April Thornton; and his nephew Jarod Thornton. He is survived by: his father Floyd Schmitter (Virginia); his wife Christina Schmitter; his children, Phyllis Schmitter (Jarod LaBelle) and Patrick Schmitter; his siblings, Jeff Mcclean, Patrick Mcclean (Dawn), Craig Mcclean (Tracey), Gail Smith (Todd), Melissa Mendyk (Tim), Cheryl Watson and Melanie Ayers; his siblings-in-law, Glenn Thornton (Debra) and Susan Conn (Mike); and his nieces and nephews, Carlene Abbey (Dan), Kelsey Rittenberg (Caleb), Nolan Thornton, Michael and Samantha.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the McGeehan Funeral Homes - St Charles Chapel (209 Entrepreneur Dr, St Charles, MI 48655). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the McGeehan Funeral Home - St. Charles Chapel (209 Entrepreneur Dr, St Charles, MI 48655).
