Thelester Brooks Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thelester Brooks in Saginaw, Michigan, who passed away on December 30, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Dell Green and Horace Brooks; his wife Geneva Brooks; his siblings, Mary V. Wilson, Maxine Huston and Ellester Brooks; and his in-laws, J. D. and George Ella Gillespie.

He is survived by: his children, Charlie Brown of Atlanta, GA, Sharon Patterson-Brown (Mark) of Hampton, GA and J. D. Brown (Brenda) of Saginaw, MI; his grandchildren, Shelina, Michael, Sherwin Brown, Ellester Brooks, Jr., Isaiah, Ellexis Brooks, Austin, Antoinette Kincaid, Luetisha Clark, Sherika Kincaid, Chariclea Brown, Shavonda Burton, Jai De Johnson, Sr. and BreAnna Andrea Johnson; his great grandchildren, Itali, Ingland, Ireland Clark, Isreal Kincaid, Taylor Royal, Jordan Brown, Phoenix Cradler, Tywin Brown, Elijah, Jai De, Jr., Jaise, Justin, Jevin Johnson, Noah, Nikkell Brooks, Elias and Elianna Burton; his sister Ramona Bryant (Walter); his nephews, Alvertis Brooks, Sr., Tony R. Brooks, Sr. and Bryan Bryant; and his close friends, Bernard Graham, James Woolfolk, Mclovely Brown, George Morris, Sr., Bob Henley and Ralph Hinton.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Evans & Browne's Funeral Home (441 N Jefferson Ave, Saginaw, MI 48607). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bethel A. M. E. Church (535 Cathay St, Saginaw, MI 48601).
