It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Telly Brookins (Saginaw, Michigan), who passed away on August 3, 2019, at the age of 44, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his daughter Angela "Toyee" Flores; his brother-in-law Andrew Joe; his aunts and uncles, Ruth Bonner, Denise Powell, Barnett Powell and Wilburt Essex; and his nephew Xzadrian Hardwick.
He is survived by: his children, Jada Brookins, Cesar Trevino, Telly Brookins Jr., Telliono Brookins, Denzel Brookins, Dominique Pobalis, Xavier Brookins, DeAngelo Hooper and Syilas Smith-Brookins; his grandchildren, Myzellion Galvin, Angelina Flores and Kartel Brookins; his siblings, Carolyn Brookins, Ramona Brookins (Randy), Patricia Joe, Yolanda Wiley (Rickey), India Slaughter, Curtis Brookins Jr., Arnold Brookins (Tiffany), Fredrick Essex (Maria), Charles Essex (Cynthia), Michael Essex, Anthony Essex (Arnesha), Donnell Essex (Catherine), Charlie Logan, Teon Brookins (Jeanette), Brian Brookins and Joseph Hargrove; and his aunts and uncles, Wanda, Pamela Guiden, Sandra Powell, Eva Mae Culvert, Willie James Blount, Anthony Guiden and Ada Childress. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including special cousins.
