He was predeceased by: his mother Antonia Muñoz (Flores); and his wife Gloria Muñoz. He is survived by: his father Refugio Muñoz; his children, Miguel Muñoz (Jessica) and Analaura Nieto (Teodoro); his grandchildren, Kennedy, Oliver, Charlotte, David, Pablo and Gema; and his in-laws, Jesus and Lourdes Espinoza. He is also survived by six sisters and one brother.
