Rita T. Fortin Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rita T. Fortin (Saginaw, Michigan), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 12, 2024 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Laethem and Erma Laethem (Rutledge); her brothers, Francis (Anne) and Paul (Shirley); her brother-in-law Charles Dunn; and her daughter-in-law Deirdre Fortin.
She is survived by: her husband Gerald James; her children, Matthew of Chicago, Meg Vaughn (Steve) of Grand Blanc and Michael (Denise) of Chicago; her sister Louise Dunn of Detroit; and her grandchildren, Caitlin Rita Vaughn, Abigail Joanne Vaughn, Molly Marie Vaughn, Olivia Tess Fortin, Luke Daniel Fortin and Liam Matthew Fortin.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church (5376 State St, Saginaw, MI 48603).
