With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Raul Betancourt Sr. of Saginaw, Michigan, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Martin and Rosaria Betancourt (Palomares); his daughter Ruby Betancourt Vann; his granddaughter Alexxis Lionor Betancourt; his brothers, Jose Angel Betancourt and Jesus Betancourt; and his siblings-in-law, Gloria Betancourt and Joe Gallagher.
He is survived by: his wife Amelia Betancourt of Montrose; his son Rudy Betancourt U. S. M.; his siblings, Ramon Betancourt (Maria), Juan Betancourt, Tony Betancourt, Tomas Betancourt (Maureen), Dora Casillas (Robert), Maria Brown (Richard) and Maria Gallagher; and his siblings-in-law, Gumecinda Betancourt, Maria Betancourt, Olga Fitch and Raul Perez (Angeline). He is also survived by his grandchildren, for being proud of his children.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church (3680 S Washington Rd, Saginaw, MI 48601).
