He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Solomon and Sophie Solomon (Podleski); and his brothers, Mel, Glen "Junior" and Jim.

He is survived by: his wife Carol (Alberts); his sister Bonnie Flathau (Bill); his sons, Leonard Solomon (Lisa), Terry Solomon (Wendy) and Randy Solomon (Sabrina); his grandchildren, Nolan, Jackson, Madison Dehne (Erik), Dillon (Gabrielle), Savannah, Kaylie Kopfer (Dayne), Summer and Carson Solomon; and his great grandchild Leo.
