He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Grnya and Antoinette Grnya (Indlekofer); his siblings, Richard Grnya and Joan Jozwiak; his parents-in-law, Elmer and Claudine Payne; and his sister-in-law Barbara Howard.
He is survived by: his wife Delores Sue Grnya (Payne); his daughters, Jennifer Howe (Dennis) and Rebecca Ryther; his grandchildren, Andrew Grnya (Micaela Dezelah), Brendan Ryther, Colin Ryther and Abiageal Ryther; his siblings, Norman Grnya, Joyce Grnya and Harold Grnya (Ginny); his siblings-in-law, Freel and Sharon Osborne; and his caregiver Teressa Quigley. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gethsemane Lutheran Church (3424 Crestmont Dr, Saginaw, MI 48603). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
