Miller Sr.; her granddaughter Margaret Amos; her niece Atarah Robinson (McCurdy); her stepchildren, Otis J. Miller Jr. and Sheila Miller; her grandparents, Robert, Ovella Bates (Miller), Joe McCurdy and Lorena McCurdy McCormick (Echols); and her aunts and uncles, Louise McCurdy, Emma Bates, Lorraine Bates, Mary Jones, Dorothy Thomas, Edward McCurdy, Robert E. Bates Sr., James M. Bates Sr., Frederick Jones and Roland Thomas Sr..
She is survived by: her sons, Derek McCurdy (Deirdre) of Chula Vista, Calif and Darnell McCurdy Sr. (Vanessa) of Memphis, Tenn.; her grandchildren, Kanada Reed, DeMarkius Erwin, Andrea Petty (Jason), Darnell McCurdy, Jr. (Deidra), Amber Mason (Otis), Veronica Rodriquez, Shantrail Wilkins, Tashara Hunter, Cierra Farmer, Finesse Kevil (Philip), Aramis and Kires Davis; her cousins, Joyce Williams, Jacqueline Bates, Jeraldine Burnell, Julia Price (Tonza, Sr.), Jeanetta, Jennifer, John Bates, Brenda Nolen (Bruce), Alice Thomas, Roland Thomas, Jr. (Deidre), James E. Thomas Sr., Sheena Thomas (Culley), Frederick S. Thomas and Ellen Simon (Browder); and her nieces and nephews, Patria Dye (Tom), Terrance McCurdy (Regina), Portia Sumner (Steven), Kalila Najwa Rafa, Tori Jo Teague (Steven), Joe McCurdy III and Ameerah McCurdy. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ephesus Seventh Day Adventist Church (2115 Wadsworth Rd, Saginaw, MI 48601). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Ephesus Seventh-Day Adventist (2115 Wadsworth Rd, Saginaw, MI 48601).
