With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Richard Scanlon of Saginaw, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 5, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Scanlon and Irene Scanlon (Kiley); his siblings, Leo Scanlon, Harold Scanlon (Frances), Robert Scanlon (Helene) and Mary Jane Soper (Duane); and his siblings-in-law, Shirley Scanlon and Raymond Metiva (Joyce).
He is survived by: his wife Ellen M. Scanlon of Saginaw; his children, Christina Michael (Chris) of Lansing, Shawn Scanlon (Julie) of Saginaw, Peggy Lampela (Andy) of Saginaw and Brendan Scanlon (Kelly) of Lansing; his grandchildren, Kayla Vanover (Jordan), Daniel Fee, Meaghan Bigby (Jared), Sarah Scanlon (Andrew Kipfmiller), Amy McQuarter (Christian Hoffman), Garrett Scanlon, Paige Scanlon and Finn Lampela; his great grandchildren, Parker, Ella, Aubrey, Marleigh and Maggie; and his brother Gerald "Jerry" Scanlon. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
