Gerald Kocks Obituary
Our dearly loved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend passed away on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020 after bravely battling several health concerns over the last few years. He was 84 years old. Gerald Joseph Kocks was born on November 22, 1935 to the late Carl and Julia (Curry) Kocks. Jerry grew up in Saginaw and graduated from Ss. Peter and Paul High School. Jerry worked for and retired from General Motors after over 38 years of steadfast service. He was an extremely dedicated man who loved spending time with his family and raising his five wonderful children with his beloved wife, Judith Kay Warner, whom he married on November 9, 1957. Together they enjoyed many family trips up north, snowmobiling, golfing, and family gatherings. Jerry and Judi cherished attending the many events and proud moments of their children and grandchildren. They also enjoyed many winters in Florida with family and friends. They cared for one another through their health concerns and struggles, but shared so many more joyful times.
He is survived by his wife, Judi; children: Michelle (Jerry) Moeggenberg, Daniel (Jutta) Kocks, Timothy (Lisa) Kocks and Melinda (Ron) Myotte, daughter-in-law, Sandy Kocks; grandchildren:Jeremy Kocks, Matthew (Emily) Frank, Andrew Frank, Geoffrey Kocks, Jonathan Kocks, Sydney Kocks, Trey Kocks, Kyle Kocks, Nathan Myotte and Elizabeth Myotte; great granddaughter, Ava Frank; siblings, Delores Reisig, Carol Pawlanta, Ed (Judy) Kocks and Julie (Frank) Hewitt. Jerry is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and dear friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by a son, Daryl Kocks; son-in-law, Brent Frank; brothers: Carl Kocks Jr and James Kocks.
A celebration of life for Jerry will be planned at a later date.
