She was predeceased by: her father Sam Carr; and her grandmother Annie Irene Sheppard (Junior). She is survived by: her mother Mary Carr; her husband Alvin Henix Jr.; her children, Henry Carr and LaToya Marlow; her stepchildren, Lashonda Hamilton (Jeff), Tenisha Maynard, Marcus Henix and Alvin Henix III; her aunt Virginia Gardner (Robert); her siblings, Maryann Carr, Virginia Marlow, Sandra Buriel (Danny), Narcissi Haynes (Benjamin), Sammetra Carr, Sammy Carr, George Carr (Ada) and Robert Carr; her brothers-in-law, Willie Battle, Melvin Henix, Robert Henix and Terry Henix (Tasha); her father-in-law Alvin Henix Sr.; her grandchildren, Sh'Nya Whittington Carr, Sariyah Akins, Ryiannah Akins and Deontray Goines; her close friends, Aaricka, Tangua, Sandra, Rochelle and Ressie; and her nephew William Marlow Jr.. She is also survived by fifteen stepchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren.
