He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Bauer and Martha Bauer (Heinlein); his wife Barbara; his siblings, Elaine Stoick (Stanley), George Bauer and John Bauer (Sue); and his brother-in-law Gerald "Buck" Cherry.
He is survived by: his children, Fred Bauer (Ellen), LouAnne Yurgens (Don) and Beth Bauer; his grandchildren, Addie Bauer, Marta Pethke (Chris), Russell Bauer (Leah), Freddie Bauer, Natalie Schaeff (Steven), Maureen Bialek (Christian), Mikaela Green (Nathan) and Derrick Yurgens; his great grandchildren, August, Benjamin Bauer, Franklin Schaeff, Hayes Bialek, James Pethke and Sheridan Green; his sister Judy; and his siblings-in-law, Fred Kern and Delores Bauer. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, September 28th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church (600 Court St, Saginaw, MI 48602).
