He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Rivette and Lorraine Rivette (Summerfield); and his siblings, Lozamae Collison (Jim), Clarence "Frenchy" and Richard Rivette.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane; his children, Frank Rivette (Kim) of Carrollton, Bethany Rivette of Grand Rapids and Kristy Oswald (Matt) of Saginaw; his grandchildren, Casey Rivette (Jess), Kyle Rivette (Kennedy), Sidney Fresorger (Kevin), Hunter Holly and Ethan Oswald; his great grandchildren, Grayson, Gavin, Stella Rivette and Ava Fresorger; and his sisters-in-law, Bev Rivette and LouAnn Rivette. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
