He was predeceased by: his parents, Francisco S. Ayala and Esperanza Ayala (Villanueva); his wife Diana C. Ayala; and his brother-in-law Dan Ontivero. He is survived by: his children, Robert Ayala, Rolando Ayala and Lisa Ayala; his grandchildren, Diana Rousseau and Alexis Barrera; and his siblings, Sylvia Ontivero, Rick Ayala (Cindy), Jaime Ayala (Cary) and Michael Ayala.
