She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Birdsall and Alvia Birdsall (Sonner); her spouse Laverne Varney; her siblings, Elsie Rogers, Margaret Lovelace and Jack Birdsall; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Bauer and Amanda Reis; and her children-in-law, Paul Reis and Cathy Varney.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Reis and Gary Varney; her grandchildren, Melanie Keith (Jon), Sara Mendoza (Matt) and Jamie Varney; her great grandchildren, Amberleigh Morris, Lux Mendoza, Luna Mendoza, Caitlan Wascher, Austin Varney and Jonathan Varney; and her stepgrandchildren, Krystal Slaybaugh (Joe), Kiersten Samson (Michael) and Cassidy Tilot.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors (201 N Miller Rd, Saginaw, MI 48609). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
