She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Herring and Verna Herring (Adams); her husband Gerald Kolhagen, Sr.; her son Stephen Kolhagen; her son-in-law Thomas Zientak; her sister Lucille LaFrenier; and her stepfather Ralph Dey.
She is survived by: her children, Janet Zientak (Thomas), Gerald Kolhagen Jr. (Kimberly), David Kolhagen (Suzanne), Debbie Jaspers (Michael) and Suellyn Kingsley; her grandchildren, Karissa Solwald (Jason), Jeffrey Kolhagen (Megan), Elizabeth Clarkson (Gary), Jeremy Kolhagen, Buddy Jones (Kat), Victoria Keyes, Robert Jones (Claudia), Angela Wallace (Cody) and Kathryn Kingsley (Robert); her great grandchildren, Haylei Solwald, Hannah Solwald, Jillian Solwald, Alexis Solwald, Leah Keyes, Addison Solwald, Wesley Keyes, Tenzin Moore, Andrew Clarkson, Landry Kolhagen, Mia Moore, Jack Kolhagen, Yvette Clarkson, Walter Jones, Zola Moore, Milly Kolhagen and Duke Wallace; and her siblings, Constance Schultz (Arnold) and Warren Herring.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church (5250 Mackinaw Rd, Saginaw, MI 48603).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in her memory, supporting the very community Carol nurtured and loved so dearly.
