He was predeceased by: his parents, Charley "Charles" and Lily Belle Goosby; his wife Ruth Ann Steele Goosby; and his siblings, Charlie "Charlene" Anderson, Mildred Loveless and Leslie Goosby.
He is survived by: his children, Marlena Propst (late Shannon), Edwin Goosby and Lamar Goosby (Natasha); his brothers, Lonnie Goosby and Roosevelt Johnson; and his close friend Fanny Smith. He is also survived by grandchildren; great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
