Melvin J. Gentner Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melvin J. Gentner of Ruth, Michigan, who passed away on December 31, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leland Gentner and Emma Gentner; his brothers, Duane and Charlie Gentner; and his brothers-in-law, James Oswald and Carl Clancy.

He is survived by: his wife Carol Gentner of Ruth; his children, Colleen Gonzalez (Jose), Steven Gentner (Elizabeth), Kenneth Gentner (Gwen) and Ronald Gentner (Heather); his grandchildren, Joseph, Zachary, Andrew Gonzalez (Katie), Shaun Morgan (Sarah), Joshua Gentner (Maggie), Rachel Gusmano (Jeremy), Victoria Messing (Clayton), Kendall Gentner (Hallie), Katrina, Gretchyn Gentner, Heaven Gravelyn (John) and Kyler Thomas; his great grandchildren, Lance, Aowyn Morgan, Charlie, Henry Gravelyn, Messing and Margaret Morden; his siblings, Marie Oswald and Robert Gentner; and his sisters-in-law, Jane Gentner, Joann Bolda (Charles) and Marjorie Clancy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be given to Holy Apostles Parish, or to St. Jude.
