He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his children, David Hommerson Jr (Heather), Michael Bird (Suzy), Dennis Hommerson (Dawn) and Aimee Hommerson; and his brothers, Kal Bird (Arlene) and Kevin Bird (Linda). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
