It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laurel Catherine Hoolsema of Rudyard, Michigan, who passed away on February 12, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh Douglas and Mary Elizabeth Anderson (Nettleton); her husband Don; her sister Grace Smith Lucas; and her sister-in-law Ruth Anderson.
She is survived by: her children, Beth Hoolsema (Don Mattingly) of Tarpon Springs, Florida, Douglas Hoolsema (Bonnie) of Peck, Donald Hoolsema (Judy) of Delton, Steven Hoolsema (Heidi) of Rudyard, Keith Hoolsema (Michele) of Rudyard and Mark Hoolsema (Katy) of Rudyard; her grandchildren, Jeanne, Jason, John, Angela, Jessica, Liz, Samantha, Shawn, Art of Cristy, J. D., Amy, Steven Jr., David and Katrina; and her siblings, Ferne Sutton (late Jim), Pearl Bennett (late Wally), Violet Dale (Bill), Hugh Anderson (Julie), Herman Anderson (Olive) and Harold Anderson (Judy). She is also survived by great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
