She was predeceased by: her husband Charles H. Cleaver; her parents, Michael J. McCabe and Kathleen M. McCabe; and her brother William "Bill" Dennis McCabe. She is survived by: her children, Kelly Hollstrom (Jeremy), Scott Cleaver (Celeste), Monica Reece (Scott), Thomas Cleaver and Chad Cleaver; her grandchildren, Jackson, Liliana, Carter and Charlotte; her brother Michael O. McCabe (S. Michelle); and her sons, Vasu and Rodgers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Leader Dogs for the Blind (https://www.leaderdog.org), in Mary Jane's honor.
