It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joanne Szerdi (Royal Oak, Michigan), born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on October 12, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Brown and Loretta Brown; and her brother Norman Brown. She is survived by: her sons, Gregory Szerdi and Douglas Szerdi (Laura); her grandchildren, Christopher, Jeffrey (Amie), Jackie (PJ), Sydney (Austin), Winnifred, Matthew, Amanda (Nathan), Steven, Melissa, Rachel and Valerie; her great grandchildren, Liliana, Evan, Ezekiel and Levi; and also, Maureen and Peter Walsh. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 17th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sullivan and Son Funeral Directors-Royal Oak (705 W Eleven Mile Rd, Royal Oak, MI 48067). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 17th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 17th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Our Lady of Hope Cemetery (18303 Allen Rd, Brownstown Charter Twp, MI 48193).
