He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Leo and Betty Jean Ensign (Pointer); his brother Bob; and his parents-in-law, Mike, Gary Register, Jo and Trudy Knox.

He is survived by: his wife Melissa; his children, Wade Leo Ensign (Bryanna) and Kati Mai Leavy (Jordan); his siblings, Cindy Cummins (Mike), Donna Ensign, Gail Ensign and Dennis Ensign; his parents-in-law, Janice Wade (Leigh), Belinda Bollini (John) and Jeff Knox (Rhonda); and his pets, Ava and Jazzy.
