He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Nieman and Lillian Nieman; his wife Anna Kanning; and his brothers, Marvin Nieman and Roland Nieman (late Marilyn).
He is survived by: his sister Lorraine Middleton (Dale); his sisters-in-law, Dorothy Kuck and Ruth Consier; his nieces and nephews, Dale, Karen Nieman, Brian Middleton (Kristine), Matthew Middleton, Rita Mikkelson (Jeff), Paul Kuck (Adelle), Ken Kuck (Kay), Rochelle Kochheiser (Randy), Ed Kuck (Tracie) and Rich Consier (Becky); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Robin Consier, Garion Consier (Morgan), Tabby Jones (Karl), Autumn Consier, Allison Doying (Travis), Jacob Mikkelson and Christian Kuck; and also, Johannes, Amalia, Indigo, Asher and Lydia Anna.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be addressed to the LCMS Organizations, Mission Development-Mission Central, Concordia Seward for Full time Church work as a teacher, Trinity LWML or Lutheran Heritage Foundation.
