He was predeceased by: his parents, James Smith and Hazel Smith (Newcomb). He is survived by: his children, John Smith of Monroe, Angel Smith (Troy Short) of Monroe and Thomas Smith (Emily McCall) of Dundee; and his siblings, Jimmy Smith of Kentucky, Betty Smith (Diana) of Canton, MI and Nancy Williams of Troy, MI. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
