She was predeceased by: her parents, G. W. Melton and Axie Melton (Sandlin); her husband James J Jones; her son James Jones; and her siblings, Theo, Cecile, Lloyd and Susie.

She is survived by: her grandchildren, Teresa Moseley (Tom), Roger Jones, Jeffery Jones and Brenda DeMoss (Rob); her great grandchildren, Ashley (Scott), James, Meghan, Brandon, Chad (Patricia), Daniel, Mark (Crystal), Roger, Michael, Jeffery II (Tara), Jennifer (Eric), Brandy (Joel), Charles, Caesar (Mikayla), Justin (Tiffany) and Leslie; and her brother Aaron Melton.
