She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John Strobl and Ida Strobl; her husband Robert "Bob" Chene; her siblings, Carol, Robert, Kathleen, John "Johnny" and Diane (Cal); her children, Maureen Andes (John), Deborah Chene, Pamela Noseda and Keith Chene (Shelly); her grandchildren, Kelly Kesler (Jason), Nicole Widrig (Mike) and Sydney Chene; and her great grandchildren, Nate, Brendan Kesler, Sophie and Hunter Widrig. She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, and many wonderful friends.

In leu of flowers, Bernice's wishes were to have donations made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
