He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Teeples and Georganna Teeples (Atherton); his wife Betty; and his great grandchildren, Nate Payne and Jeremy Hayman.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rita Payne (Michael) and Gloria Whitener; his grandchildren, Deborah, Lisa, Tasha, Matthew and Karista; and his sisters, Deda Arntz and Betty Avery. He is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to Heartland Hospice in Lewis' memory.
