He is survived by: his significant other Marilyn Boik; his children, Harry McKelvey, Jr. (Julie), Brian McKelvey (Rebecca), Robert McKelvey, Rae Ann Dusseau, Rhonda Slover and Rene Kurtz; his grandsons, Andrew and Conner McKelvey; and his child Arianna McKelvey. He is also survived by grandchildren, and several great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
