He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Morey and Elizabeth Morey; his wife Carrie Morey of Rose City; his daughter Jennifer Chartier (Scott) of Manistique, MI; his grandchildren, Samantha and Michael Chartier; his siblings, Toni Peterson (Randy) of Gaylord, Nancy Morey of Roscommon, Patrick Morey of Elmira, MI and Michael Morey (Joan) of Petoskey, MI; his son Charles Edward Morey III; his sister Paula Morey; and his aunt Wilma. He was also cherished by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association.
