He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Hernden and Margie Hernden (Tucker); and his siblings, Clara LeRoy, James Hernden, Marion Rossbach, Jane Avendt, Judy Grewe, Patricia Gilbert and Ronald Hernden.
He is survived by: his children, Jeaneen Hernden (Kent) of Port Huron, Shereen Edwards of Marine City, Nicole Hernden of Brooklyn and Rachel O'Dell of Philipsburg, Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Melissa, Perry, Sonny, David, Haillie, Brooke, Donavan, Connor, Libby and Gunnar; his great grandchildren, Aiden, Nikolai, Dorian, Caius, Elowyn and Lorelei; and his sister Gloria Rank of New Haven, Michigan. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
