He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gustave Ebert and Adah Ebert (Harr); his wife Beverly Ebert; his siblings, Harriet Lenhart of Pennsylvania and James Ebert of Roscommon; and his children, Rick Ebert (Peggy) of Mio, MI, Lorri Glidden (Richard) of Higgins Lake, MI, Kurt Ebert (Leslie) of Georgia, Michael Ebert (Holly) of Illinois and Kathleen Gothro (Gregory) of Grayling, MI. He was also cherished by 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
