He was predeceased by: his father Robert A. Hess (Shirley). He is survived by: his mother Barbara Zaiss Hess Bolden (Roger); his siblings, Margery Loree (Terry) of Traverse City, Scott Hess (Teresa) of Roscommon, Wendi Barber (Brett) of Traverse City, Bobbi Palmer (Chuck) of Soo St, Amy Vaughn (Coy) of Chelsea, Elizabeth Hess, Debbie Johnson (Ron) of Northport, Melanie Perfetto (Ed) of North Carolina and Scott Bolden (Jennifer) of North Carolina; his stepsister Elizabeth Hess; his parents-in-law, Bernie and Deanna Miller; his daughter Brittany; his children-in-law, Scott Musselman of Traverse City and Mariah Hess of Traverse City; his children, Delaney Miller (Lucas Little), Anthony Miller and Makennah Miller; and his grandchild Izabella Hess.
