It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John James McGillis of Roscommon, Michigan, who passed away on September 1, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dallis "Mike" McGillis and Virginia McGillis (DuVall); his daughter Rebecca Hohman; and his brother Michael McGillis. He is survived by: his children, Scott McGillis of Livonia, Angela Griffis (Jon) of Roscommon and John Brooks McGillis (Amber Lynn) of Jacksonville; his son-in-law James Hohman; his grandchildren, Jada, Grady, Ryan, Dakotah, Lexus, Sawyer, Ethan, Cooper, Dream and Nevaeh; and his siblings, Chris, Roger, Debi, Robin and Cindy. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
If so desired, the family prefers memorial contributions be made in John's name to Roscommon County Animal Shelter.
