In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Joe Mickiel had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Joe Mickiel may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his mother Marjorie Wagster (Williams); and his brothers, Walt and Roy. He is survived by: his father Charles Wagster; his wife Sharon Vickery; his son Mickiel of California; and his stepchildren, Todd Myers of North Carolina and Terri Floyd (Jeff) of Michigan. He is also survived by six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Hubert Catholic Church (7612 W Higgins Lake Dr, Roscommon, MI 48653). A memorial service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
If so desired, the family prefers memorial contributions be made in Joe's name to the VFW Post 4034 Houghton Lake.
