With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Richard Salmon of Roscommon, Michigan, born in Lansing, Michigan, who passed away on August 14, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Salmon and Donnah Salmon (Heeg); and his wife Janice Jean Salmon (Thornton). He is survived by: his son Jay Salmon (Sheila) of Shepherd, Michigan; his significant other Faye Somero of Roscommon, Michigan; his grandchildren, Courtney Velasquez (Jose) of St. Louis, Kirstin Hadanek of Shepherd, Tarryn Crum (Paul) of Holt and Levi Salmon of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan; and his great grandchildren, Cristina, Josephine, Rowan and Blaire. He is also survived by several cousins, and friends.
