We are sad to announce that on May 12, 2022, at the age of 85, James E. Moffitt Sr. of Roscommon, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Moffitt and Frances Moffitt (Chmura); his son James Moffitt Jr.; his daughter-in-law Mary Ellen Moffitt; and his siblings, Jack and Patricia.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Moffitt of Roscommon; his children, Kathleen Moffitt of Maryland, Julie Laforge of Utica, Daniel Moffitt of Grosse Pointe, Mark Moffitt (Pamela) of St. Clair Shores and Mary Moe of Marquette; and his brother David Moffitt (Mary) of Nevada. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
