He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Grimm and Catherine Grimm (Foster). He is survived by: his sons, Donald Grimm of Utica, Darren Grimm of Ira and David C. Grimm (Julie) of Capac, Michigan; his grandchildren, Kyle, Lucas and Huyana; and his great grandchild Kensley.

The family prefers memorial contributions be made in David's name to Good Shepherd United Methodist Church of the North.
