He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Mires and Clara Mires (Sakwin); his sister Marti; and his daughter Kimberly Mires. He is survived by: his wife Linda Smock; his children, Sandi Beckwith (Dan) of Beal City, Tammy Mires of Fruitport, Michigan and Scott Mires (Sue) of Roscommon; his grandchildren, Sydney Sonnenberg (Jeff) of Allendale, Stone Beckwith (Jordyn) of Rockford, Hunter Mires (Jenifer) of Roscommon and Macy Mires of Roscommon; his great grandchildren, Quinn, Kennedy, Brady, Myles, Colt and Mason; and his brother Doug Mires (Nancy) of Rochester Hills, Michigan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors (143 Lake St, Roscommon, MI 48653). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
