He was predeceased by: his father Ray E. Kuhlwein; and his grandson Giovanni De Trano. He is survived by: his son Scott Kuhlwein of Michigan; his grandchildren, Olivia, Paxton, Alexia, Darren, An'drea, Carter and Benjamin; his brother Willard "Bill" Kuhlwein (Joan); and his nieces and nephews, Lee Kuhlwein (Melanie), Lance Kuhlwein (Karen) and Karen Winegardner (Scott).
