He was predeceased by: his wife Nita Faye Bird; his son Terry Bird; his grandson Timothy; his great grandchild Kenny; and his parents, Earl Bird and Elsie Bird.

He is survived by: his daughter Sherry Keene (Bruce); his daughter-in-law Lucila; his grandchildren, Stacey, Andrea, Terry, Natalie and Nicholas; his great grandchildren, Courtney, Chandler, Andy, Makenzie, Madison, Bentley and Jaxon; and his great great grandchild Huxon.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
