He is survived by: his wife Irene Wendland (Esch) of Romulus, MI; his sons, Ron Wendland of Ypsilanti, MI and Greg Wendland of Romulus, MI; his grandchildren, Shianne Wendland of Ypsilanti, MI, Steven Wendland (Marissa) of Livonia, MI, Devon Wendland of Romulus, MI and Jacob Wendland of Gaylord, MI; and also Lance Witham. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
