It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris J. Ostrom of Romulus, Michigan, born in Wyandotte, Michigan, who passed away on December 15, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Grable Gaus and Alberta Gaus (Brada); her husband Edward J. Ostrom; and her siblings, John Lee, Mary Ilene Kelly, Ella Darlene Darnell and Norman Gaus.

She is survived by: her son James Boone (Wendy) of Blissfield, MI; her granddaughter Erin Fisher of Oregon, OH; and her sister Carol Smith of Mt. Pleasant, TN..

Memorial contributions may be made to the Romulus Animal Shelter and would be appreciated.

“My mother and I would like to tell the family how truly sorry we are for their loss. Since moving to NC we no longer got to see Doris for our May Birthdays, etc.., but we still kept kept in touch. When we didn't receive our Xmas card by now we got worried, so I looked online and saw the obituary and our worst fear came true. Doris was a wonderful person we loved and she will truly be missed.
