It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Elaine Ward of Romulus, Michigan, who passed away on June 30, 2022, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Ricky Ward; her parents, Robert Deaton and Clara Deaton; and her grandson Brendan Ward. She is survived by: her children, Michelle Phelps (Paul), Eric Ward (Sarah) and Heather Ward (Andrew); her grandchildren, Matthew Mortzfield (Elizabeth), Richelle Mortzfield (J. J.), Stephanie Thornsberry (Lance), Zachary Ward, Kara Ward, Brandon Ward and Derek Bennett; her great grandchildren, Hayden, Elliannah, Mateo and Elisa; and her brothers, Jerry Deaton (Pauline) and Robert Dwayne Deaton (Dori).
